Careers are vanishing at the blink of eyes

Knowing and deciding what career one wants to pursue is a tough decision. Notwithstanding, continuing education is a competitive necessity than a luxury. Rapid technology advancements are bringing disruptive global changes. Inevitably, businesses adapting faster than ever. Further, companies will bring in new processes and technologies to stay at top of their game. The inertia caused by changes within businesses forces changes without. In other words, when companies transform their business within, naturally forces other dependent businesses to adapt as well.

This chain reaction is contagious, indeed. It spreads like a wild fire and thus brings disruptive changes everywhere. Change is a necessity, not an evil. The survival of the fittest proved once and again. This is how nature works to advance itself to develop stronger and agile species. So are businesses. Businesses and people must learn from nature! Nature is a great teacher, nevertheless.

When a business undergoes changes, its employees must learn and adapt as quickly as possible to stay at top of their game. Once cannot be complacent. One must take up necessary action to learn new skills and be useful to the companies that one works. If one refuses to upgrade her skills, she left behind and gradually lose prospect of getting a job anywhere.

Businesses prefer employees with current skills

Given the above background, businesses prefer to hire new generation of employees that trained with latest technology and business trends by new curriculum adapted by schools and universities. Unless older employees equip themselves with specialty knowledge and education, they are in the danger of withering away in the corporate world.
