Gratitude plays an important role in your life. One must express his or her gratitude towards the higher power, society, family, and friends for giving him or her, the strength to carry on during difficult times. It is essential to understand that everyone invariably goes through ups and downs in day to day life.  Nonetheless, one must keep a level head to overcome obstacles during tough times, and share the joy during good times. Keeping a positive outlook at all times i.e., good and bad requires gratitude! Gratitude keeps you mentally strong and  healthy.

Think about the wonderful people in your life

Friends and family members play an integral role in supporting you and forming you into who you are as a person. Think about those who have loved and supported you during good and bad times. Friends and family members wholeheartedly support you emotionally, financially, for example, to help you to overcome personal challenges. Indeed, family and friends are invaluable! Appreciate their presence in your life and express your gratitude for being with them.

Share your feelings with others

When you keep your emotions, especially negative ones, you feel stressed and are susceptible to various diseases. In contrast, sharing your emotional burden with your close friend and a family member, may substantially lower your emotional stress and make you light and hopeful of the future.
